Last Weekend's Events
E Blue Chip
Harry Melges IV won the E Blue Chip with a perfect record. Seems Andy Burdick may be the only other person to accomplish this feat. Pictured here are Harry IV, Finn Rowe, Jim Gluek, Harry III and Matt Pistay. Mystery Guest Jimmy Spithill won the hearts of the Midwest with his great demeanor, great sailing prowess replete with A scow tipover. For photos and story, check the PYC Facebook page.
Beulah Nan Norris C Challenge

Kent Haeger sailed away from the fleet all weekend. A great event for Haeger and crew Mike Greeson. Results. If you were in attendance, check here for great photos.
High School Singlehanded Qualifier for Midwest
RJ Porter, Belle Loosbrock and Jack Bitney will travel to the Nationals as the Midwest Qualifiers. Nationals is Oct 31-November 2nd in Bellingham, Washington.
Buddy Melges Women's International Matchracing Event -  Sheboygan
Steph Roble Sails Tomorrow in Repechage
Light air has plagued the only US event in the seven-regatta series to determine the World Matchracing Champion. Also in attendance are Meg Six and Lara Dallman-Weiss sailing for Madeline Gill. Two of those in the repechage will move into the semifinals.
Santander 2014 ISAF Sailing World Championships
Annie Haeger in 7th; Erik Bowers 31st, Stephanie Hudson 40th.
Annie Haeger (Lake Beulah) and Brianna Provancha earned a spot for the US in the 2016 Rio Olympics. The Laser class was qualified by the high finish of Charlie Buckingham. The event was full of success on differing levels for all three of our ILYA sailors. Haeger was as high as first in the event, suffered a cut and trip to the ER with a DNF one race due to injury and showed throughout she belongs with the elite 470 sailors. Halfway through the adventure, she is steadily proving herself a contender.

Erik Bowers finished a full 60 places higher than last year at the same event. Quite an improvement for the Minnetonka sailor. He sits on the US Sailing Development Team but is improving each regatta.

The newbie to the field is Steph Hudson (Lake Beulah) who finished as the second US team in the Nacra field.
The exciting Nacra 17 is sailed with a female and male team. Steph is moving up in the Nacra standings with crew Ian Andrews.
