Roble takes her first WIM title- Sheboygan
Steph Roble moves into first place overall in the Women's International Matchracing Series with her victory yesterday in Sheboygan. Roble took the final in four races (first to three victories). This is her first victory on the tour but she has consistently placed so high she was ranked 3rd coming into the event. It was a real test for the international field with light, shifty wind. Wonder where she learned that?  Roble sails with Chicago's Maggie Shea and Annapolis' Janel Zarkowsky.
The trophy remains on site at Sheboygan Yacht Club. It is a replica of the America's Cup. The entire team was welcomed home to the Lake Beulah Yacht Club with an impromptu victory party. Maggie Shea was an instructor at the ILYA Women's and Girls' Clinic so felt right at home last night with her ILYA friends
C Blue Chip   NO WIND ON SUNDAY
Homelake Champion Steve Schmidt Wins C Blue Chip

There is something special about a Blue Chip in any class. The C Blue Chip history is obvious from the cardboard posters of past results - who remembers the high point system? Embroidered patches, spiral-bound notebooks with historical data - Kent Haeger in his 33rd consecutive event, for instance. Wally Sshmidt who never missed one. Doc Henschel returning with spectacular watercolor prints as the awards. Thursday night pork chop night. Eckerts from four generations on land. Thanks to host lake Okauchee for another great Blue Chip. Thanks to Mystery Guest Taylor Canfield for enjoying the weekend with us and sharing your international stories.

Beulah Challenge - Fun, Fall, Final One - Maybe
Give This one a Try
Ready for a final even?. Come and see us at Beulah or Delavan really loves the frigid Fall. Give one or both a spin.

Beulah Challenge
- this event was renamed last year to the Nan Norris Memorial Regatta. Nan is the mother of X Champion Will Norris who has rejoined the C fleet in the past three years; Neal Norris - known to many of you for his skiing prowess and work at Heileger Huegel, and Betsy Kutschenreuter - mother of three champion sailors. Nan (and dear friend, Gan Haeger) was known as a mentor to many signal boat women on Beulah.

This year Will has concocted some surprises - Hurricane drinks and crawfish on Friday night; Betsy hired a mariachi band for Saturday night and no one makes Mexican like Teriann Norris. The Sullivan family is donating a Pancake Breakfast on Sunday morning. It's a happening. There are a couple boats for use since Beulah's large 34 boat fleet is donating boat use if they are not able to attend. Housing is available. Oh, yeah, Will commissioned this poster as a reminder of his mom. A unique travelling trophy wil be donated by the family. Colorful? Crazy? Well, a Norris colossal Challenge. Join us! Register here. Helly Hansen beanies as giveaways.

Delavan C Worlds - Fish Boil on Friday - it's the best. The club house is the warmest - just in case it gets cold Oct 10-11.
