Haeger Takes Second Title!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!    ----  2010 Collegiate Singlehanded Nationals

Anne Haeger returned to Collegiate Singlehanded Nationals as the defending champ. Days 1 and 2 belonged to Haeger - top of the scoreboard both days. The eighteen-race regatta in Corpus Christi, TX was warm, mild and perfect for the small lake sailor with loads of international experience. She wowed the crowd with a finish line tipover and it's all in the books. Day three concluded with two races to give Haeger a six-point lead.

Other Midwest competitors included Matt Thompson representing MN (16th), Charlie Igo (17th) from St Thomas and Andrew Fox from Wisconsin (11th).

On the girls side, Christine Porter (16th) Wisconsin and Lauren Knoles (14th) Michigan State rounded out the Midwest. This is Porter's second nationals this fall. She participated two weeks ago in the Sloops Nationals.
