Epic Racing Team Takes WIM Title
Meg Six sails in Korea
Steph Roble's team got the job done while Roble sails in Korea in the Etchells Worlds due to delayed scheduling on the part of the Women's International Matchracing Association. The boat was skippered by Chicago's Maggie Shea (who instructed at this year's ILYA Women's and Girls' Clinic) with Geneva's Meg Six on board. The team finished fifth in this event but with the final placing of other teams at this event, Epic Racing took the overall title and a hoped-for $20,000. BUT they were informed that due to the skipper's absence the money would roll over to 2016. But the title is THEIRS!!! And no one could be happier than the team which also carried Sally Barkow at one event. This is a TEAM which has been the theme of presentations given by Roble and Shea at our clinics. If you have the opportunity to hear Roble, Barkow or Shea speak, the essence of teamwork always comes to the forefront. Congrats! The team shown above is , ,,
See you there!

Thanks to the many, many who will join us to honor Jim Smith. We have surprises galore and accolades aplenty. If you need info about the event, contact eawyman55@gmail.com.

The ILYA Board meeting follows on Saturday morning. You are all welcome ---if you can make it after the evening's festivities.
Singlehand Championships
College is next
Congrats to Mark Davies, Geneva, for attending the high school national championships at Old Dominion. Geneva's Malcolm Lamphere and Delavan's Leslie Poole will compete this weekend in the College Singlehanded Nationals. Good luck.
