Volume 9, Issue 65
November 13, 2014
O Captain! my Captain!
      our fearful trip is done,
The ship has weather'd every rack,
the prize we sought is won.
LaVerne Schneider, wife of the late Charles (Snuffy) Schneider has passed away at the age of 88.  LaVerne was as much a part of the Herman Barkow and Snake and Snuffy Schneider Race Committee team as the rest of them, and held them together with her charm, her calm, and organization. We will miss her. Services were held this week at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 1600 Genesee St., Delafield, WI. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Shorehaven, AngelsGrace, or the church are appreciated.

Malcolm Lamphere - Fourth
Yale's Lamphere sailed to a victory in race one in Bellingham, Washington. Day one was total calm so the RC had a tough Sunday running six races in light to high to no wind. Lamphere sailed exceptionally well to take a respectable fourth at the prestigious event. Wisconsin's Matt Ripkey (also from Lake Geneva) sailed to an overall 15th.  Results here.
