Sail it Forward - Is your nominee listed?
Honor your club's volunteer
Dave Perrigo and UBS Friday Night will feature all our member clubs and the efforts they expend to make scow sailing so successful. Each ILYA member club was invited to provide us with a name of a dedicated volunteer to its club. This is a gift to you to thank that individual for all he/she does.

Friday will be an entire day devoted to volunteerism. The honorees will be invited at the pleasure of their club to a luncheon at Gage's Pier 290 followed by a boat ride on a majestic wooden beauty of a vessel to observe the afternoon's races. Family and friends of the honorees are invited to accompany them to both activities. That evening the theme of the party will be Sail it Forward. Each honoree present will be recognized. A short video of each recipient will stream throughout the regatta so watch for your club's nominee and others.

If your club's nominee is not listed, please ask your Board to forward your lake's choice to be honored. If your favorite volunteer is listed here and you would like to attend the luncheon/boat ride, sign up for $50 for the afternoon. The evening dinner is also available. Scroll down the storefront ordering page to find your desired event.

WI MC Championships
Mitch Moylan Takes one-day three short-race event
Oconomowoc hosted four days of MC sailing with loads of participants happy to see the gorgeous lake. The Jeff Fellows family was most hospitable, organized and real promoters of a Thursday-Friday Zenda U followed by the Wisconsin MC Championships. Seventeen learned at the highly successful Zenda U including two MN sailors who were welcomed to stay for the WI Champs. Cheeseheads for a weekend; is there anything better? Did they learn to cheer for the Packers?

The regatta was vexed by heat and no wind on Saturday. Sunday was started early by PRO Chip Mann who ran three short races in light to a predicted - but- never- materialized- steady wind.
USODA Great Lakes
Chapman Petersen Takes One-day event

This year the clinic will be offered in two locations to allow all our ILYA women to benefit from the experience. The White Bear clinic, June 28-29, is rapidly approaching. Consider learning to sail as an adult on a scow or youth sailors, hone your skills and become a champion. For those of you who just want to hear about sailing, plan to attend the banquet at the lovely White Bear Yacht Club and hear Betsy Allison speak of her experiences. Contact Karen Alnes for more info.  Register here.
