X Champs - Friend and Bitney Still Lead After Day Two

Throw out  in Effect after Day Two  --- FULL RESULTS

The junior fleet has only one race left after a four-race day. JP Friend took another race win. Nagawicka's Jack Behrendt took two afternoon races. Patrick Schmidt won the other race. In the Senior fleet only three races were completed. Charlie Kutschenreuter took a gun, RJ Porter repeated and Allie Ruscher won the last race after falling out of the boat in the second race of the day.

The two fleets waited onshore for a brief time this AM before the wind picked up. It was afternoon before the wind began to stabilize in direction. This provided the race committee with some challenges. The day ended with a sold out event of 450 at Lake Lawn. Many more joined after dinner for a night of frivolity.

Scowlines is sad to report Pat Dunsworth will not be with us this summer due to medical problems. He was our outstanding photographer who tirelessly provided us with photos from all the fleets. Thanks to Todd Jerrod who so generously provided us with photos on Thursday. The editor welcomes any photos from the Junior fleet and will look forward to support at Mendota and the Pewaukee Opti event.

Here's a beautiful shot from Margaret Hollister of the senior fleet immediately before sending the fleet to shore. Storms never touched Delavan. The race committee monitors multiple weather sources to maintain the fleet's safety.
