Oshkosh Xtreme Regatta - Jonah Boykin and Chandler Jarecki (Beulah) Take it by Surprise

A new face leaps to the top of the fleet. Jonah Boykin with crew Chandler Jarecki has been a consistent finisher in regattas at 6-10th in Optis and X boats but he broke out this event with a consistent top ten set of finishes with a 2nd thrown in. The competition was tight as A-136 Abby Eckert with Allison Heimsch also sailed all in the top ten. The fleet got in three hourlong races on Tuesday morning. Lessons learned for the fleet - don't get far from the starting line, an efficient race committee can turn the race around quickly; truly the one-minute rule infringement requires going around the ends.
