MC Invite - Upper Minnetonka website says results will be up this morning. We know they got in one race with perennial champ Colburn in 21st. Hope for better wind everywhere today.

C Invite - the schedule of Thursday, Friday, Saturday allows the best sailing on Geneva. C dads, with any luck you can only miss one race on Saturday so you can watch your young sailor at WYA. Registration is low --register now so Geneva can plan. Lynch Dealerships as Presenting sponsor and Capital Brewery and Melges Performance Sailboats as sponsors.

The anticipated number of entries will allow for mooring on club docks and nearby buoys during lunch. Therefore, lunches may be served (and enjoyed) at the LGYC facility instead of on-the-water. The SOCIAL section of the NOR is revised accordingly as follows:
On Wednesday, food will be available by order from the Club kitchen after 5:00 p.m. The "Beer Gator" will serve free beer (Wisconsin Amber - thanks, to sponsor Capital Brewery and our Presenting Sponsor Lynch Dealerships) and soda from 4:00 to 5:00. The Clubhouse Bar will be open for complete cash service.

Available dock and nearby buoy space will allow lunches to be served on land. Thursday's lunch buffet ($9) will consist of all the fixin's to make your own sandwich. Friday's lunch buffet ($9) will be burgers and brats and related items.  A pre-presentation buffet lunch ($10) will be available after Saturday's race or races, during haul out, and up to the trophy presentation.

The "Beer Gator" will run for an hour after the racing Thursday and Friday with free beer and soda.

Thursday night is the Regatta Dinner (Italian Pasta Buffet-$15). The Dinner will be casual, and we invite you to stick around rather than bother to go home, change, and return. Serving may start as early as 5:00 p.m.
Friday night will feature a Fish Buffet dinner (Fried or Broiled Cod and all the fixin's-$14) at the Yacht Club.

All lunch and dinner purchases must be made before or during the registration period.
Special Package Price ($50): Complete lunch and dinner package, including Thursday, Friday, and Saturday buffet lunches, Thursday night Italian Pasta Buffet, and Friday Night Fish Buffet is a $57 value. Save $7 by ordering your package prior to the close of registration.

We hope to see you for some great racing and good socializing!

Things to learn

 Wauwasee and Indian Lake

Do you know where these lakes are? Do you know they both boast E scow fleets? Indiana and Ohio are home to scows who are looking forward to the Big Inland on Mendota. Wauwasee can brag of a 200 student sailing school.

Chris Lieber of Pewaukee introduced Jim Smith and the editor to a Facebook application that looks like fun for kids of all ages. It is an online trading card site which allows you to track your sailing resume. Pewaukee is posting the A scow results on this page but the real attraction to the editor would be a means to store an X boat ranking system - if the X regatta results were posted. Chris has developed the beta site and will enter the I-20/Melges 17 regatta today so we can follow. To check this out, go to Facebook, search for Statwack, like the page and begin creating your own account. The bonus: a way for your youth sailor to begin to record a sailing resume for college, cross country/football/basketball stats collected. More on this as Chris begins adding sailing info to the page.
