Barkow Wins Miami Rolex Olympic Classes Regatta
Miami OCR Moving into today's medal race, Barkow, Capozzi and Howe were tied for first. A fourth place finish for 8 poiots was all it took with Great Britain's Sarah Ayton in 7th with 14 points. Barkow wins the event. This morning's race was a nail biter but the Team 7 website provided the commentary.

"Downwind was really light and there was a huge amount of chop. GBR 12 jibed on the inside and jumped USA 337. However our girls then sat on top of GBR 12 and jibed with them 2 or 3 times downwind. GBR 12 had to round the right hand gate while USA 337 rounded the left.

"When they came back together, USA 337 was ahead. USA 337 hammered on GBR 12 the entire upwind leg, tack for tack. They managed to stay in front of GBR 12 and also passed FIN 11. Rounded the windward mark in 4th.

4. USA 337
7. GBR 12
9. FIN 11

Just sailed the last downwind leg jibe for jibe. 20 boat lengths ahead of GBR. A great finish to the race, did not let GBR out of their sight.

They did an awesome job match racing, gold medal!!
