Here is the leader! Beulah's Kent Haeger with Mike Greeson B12 may be the best sailor to have never won an Inland. It's akin to a championship golf tournament Tiger has never won. With consistent sailing, he sits atop the leaderboard ahead of last year's victor, Joe Kutsch and Randy Schmidt who are 2 points behind. This is mentor and student respectfully vying for the title.

Today's racing was tough - three long races with shifting winds which caused longer than desired breaks between races. The wind shifted right about 20 degrees an hour which accounts for the near-180 degree shift in the 8+ hours the sailors were on the water. This is the toughest challenge for race committee. But much tougher on the sailors who were spent at day's end. ----- But, never fear. The Okoboji bar was open upon arrival. The relaxed, welcoming clubhouse and grounds made any water woes disappear.

Race one winner Peter and Dan Keck sailing N181 but both grew up on LaBelle with a brief stay on Beulah for Peter.

A136 Ed Eckert and Matt Schmidt (uncle and nephew) are a team who has stayed together for well over 5 years now. They won the C Nationals last year.

E88 Steve Schmidt and Matt Prange were last weekend's WYA C winners. He took race three.

Three races are scheduled for Friday but the wind is supposed to decrease throughout the remainder of the C portion. A 10:00 start will bring all the sailors back to the club who tonight hosts the 56 competing boats. (58 registered).
