A Little Housekeeping
Wrist bands for Bar/Beer distribution
To expedite service at the bar, bring your young adult to the registration table with ID to get wrist band to indicate over 21 years of age. You can approach the bar at any time to receive a wrist band which will speed up the carding system. The beer gator by the lake will require ID for those close in age. So, old guys, no wrist band for you; just the young adults. Normal "carding" will occur if you do not want to wear a wristband. This is simply for speed of service to you.

Lake Geneva has purchased two outside water bottle filling stations. They fill in under 5 seconds. There is an additional water bottle filling station located near the downstairs restrooms. It records the number of disposable water bottles saved by using the station. Garbage/recycling receptacles will be numerous. No SIs distributed in paper form but they are online now and will be posted on the window official announcement board.
Laser Championships
Malcolm Lamphere and Erik Bowers Sail to High Finishes
Lamphere comes off Laser Worlds, Laser US Nationals and Laser North Americans. The Worlds was a bit disappointing due to confusion in the posting of the next day's colored fleets. Malcolm and another US sailor were posted erroneously late in the day and both men missed the new posting. Lamphere was third in the US Nationals. At North Americans, Bowers was 6th and Lamphere 7th. Erik is mounting an Olympic campaign for Rio and sits on the US Developmental Team. Lamphere has just completed his freshman year at Yale.
Malcolm is right above placing third at US Nationals.
Great problem to have
Consider buying new X boat
The used X boat market is the tightest we have ever seen. Minnetonka and Browns Lake are looking to start new fleets. Cedar is looking for five boats new to families there. If there was ever a time to purchase new, this year is it. Early reports include a purchase scheduled an entire year out. --- Now that is TIGHT!! The annual championship regularly boasts over 100 boats with many others still sailing on home lakes. Boats are holding their value at time of resale. Go ahead, plan a great Christmas present. --- and help a new family.
