I-28, Andy Burdick with owner Terry Blanchard, Josh Garber, Peter Keck, Jim Petersen, Ben Porter and Coye Harrett had to fight back in the races to take a 1-2 for the regatta win. Brian Porter sailed the M-4 and proved to be tough. The Melvin team led by Pat Hughes sailed beautifully and was noted to be a "sure winner" in the near, near future. The teamwork on the boat is impressive to watch. And watch it, you can. Sailgroove was there for all the action. With some wild spnnaker sets and rides immediately past the windward offset, this rracing was EXCITING. Lead changes, penalty turns, close quarters - a great deal caught on camera.

Photogenic? Sometimes the photographer just gets lucky. This great shot is of Geneva's Kelly Hirn.

Thanks to Green Lake. Each year as we leave the event, it is with a pang of sadness. The opportunity to visit and compete with old friends is unmatched. We long to maintain this bond as long as we can. Each site creates memories or rekindles our love for our Inland lakes. Green Lake is one of those sites you long for. Looking out over the water, the ghosts of regattas past, races sailed with individual victories for all the individual sailors, parties that live in infamy, serene moments on this beautiful shore -- it's all the charm and attachment to Green Lake. Thanks again to John Hayashi, Sue Weston and Bill MacNeill who reported a much-deserved retirement. We look forward to our return and wish it were today.

Green Lake has a wonderful selection of polos, fast-dry long and short sleeve shirt and windshirts for sale

Lastly, Sailgroove- what can you possibly say? So many of you have sent emails, calls or commented when you arrived how you have followed the event with this addition. Chris Love is my new "love." Rarely do you find such a young person with a work ethic, a humility, a sense of diplomacy, a genuine love for the sport of sailing. He is a multi-talented and a workaholic. Lunches were spent downloading interviews. Pre-dinner, downloading again. After dinner, back at it. The constant updating from other events, servicing customers, attention to detail with our event -- all were a whirlwind of activity all day long. He represented our essence; just plain "got it" immediately. This is someone who you WANT to succeed and appreciate the skill he presents. This is one fine, fine individual

Now let's talk about the product--45 interviews with our sailors, races from each fleet. - you were there! This is the first time we have been able to take the still shots and post them immediately for all of you to view. Anyone of us can download photos so we had the capability to be a photography pool, if folks were out shooting great sailing. Jim Smith, Rick Trester and I had a chance to hear about the software package. It's slick and something we can afford and a service we can offer to our clubs. Each of you can download your regatta. You are the Chris Love of the event. I am sure this is NOT as easy as Chris makes it but we can learn and what fun to watch the footage at home, at night after the day's event, anytime. I can't imagine anything more fun than watching our fall scow regattas on sailgroove. We sure have something to consider here with this product and service. It enriched our event MONUMENTALLY. Thanks to Chris for a great week of displaying our sleek boats. Thanks for capturing the essence of our sailors.

Visit Sailgroove for the acceptance speeches of our winners, race action and onland interviews. Thanks to all of you who commented on the forum. Go to Sailgroove to see other events who are more familiar with the system than we are to see the excitement of the event as viewed by Sailgroove.
