Keep up to date on the Big Inland

Lake Mendota is the place to be for all scow sailors these next two weekends, and the place to find the most current and up to date status of the event is through the ILYA Big Inland Facebook page. There you'll find the race finishes as they occur, the most recent ScowLines, and be able to connect with your fellow sailors around Madison.

3-4-6 --- Races completed in A, MC, 420 fleets
 420 at Burrows
Six races and five pinnie winners. Each race winner received a pinnie with the ILYA logo on front and a bullseye on the back. Each successive race but one, the winner was "marked" and "caught". It was only last year's winner, Morris Wheeler, who managed to win two races today and two successive at that. The end of day winner was Will Crary. PRO Larry Kmiecik plans (hopes) for another 4-6 today with a lighter air forecast. Thanks to Mendota's Greg Simon for serving as grounds chair at the Burrows site.

The RC team of PRO Butzer, Ackley and Krause with local assistance on the pin end at the start had to work a bit on race three as winds decreased and shifted a bit in the late day on Mendota. Buddy Melges put in an appearance on I-55 who led a good portion of Race 1. Geneva and Minnetonka boats are here in full force.
