Written Dues Renewals
Executive Director Dave Berg is readying the written, snail-mail version of the renewal forms. Save him time and money by registering online.

If you are bogged down by problems with locating your number, please email the editor and she will give you your registered contact info to get you through the process. ---- It should be most straightforward however if you have not changed emails.
Regatta Registration
The MC and C Invite along with the X Championships regatta registration sites are open.
The Executive Committee meets shortly to set the social pricing which is based on the sponsorship money. Your donation is ALWAYS welcome right up to the start of the event but a commitment today assists with improved pricing to the sailors. Consider a title sponsorship, general donation or any other support to the last of three great years of the ILYA Championships at the Buddy Melges Sailing Center at Lake Geneva Yacht Club. Contact David Perrigo to offer sponsorship.
College Nationals are lining up

Missing from Monday's edition was a photo of Mark Davies (Geneva - Northwestern) skipping to Division A victory in the MCSA qualifying for Co-ed Nationals. 36 teams meet at Charleston for the two semi-finals. The fleet will be reduced to 18 top teams who compete for the National title. Watch for more qualifying news this weekend by following collegesailing.org.
Sailing Schools , Instructors -- Sign up now
Early classes are filling FAST
Chicago YC is full; Oshkosh has a waiting list. Hoofers is still open. May 11-14. There are nine slots open - it is in danger of getting cancelled so please sign up. Madison is truly 1 - 1.5 hours from nearly all our SE WI lakes so commuting is possible. Cedar Lake, WI has a few openings but is in June when some schools are already in session.

If you have sailing instructors who are not certified, please, please consider this course. In particular, this is the site to take the course since it is instructed by Cappy Capper who has been a member of the national team developing this curriculum for years. He has instructed for over 30 years in both sailing and skiing. He is exceptional. Our young instructors are often great sailors but need assistance with administrative skills, organizational skills, presentation and safety concerns. This is the course for them.

It may be during some school days but what they learn here will instill good preparation for communicating for that next interview or job opportunity. They video each other and critique each other in a most unthreatening manner. Lots to be learned here.

Here is the link to US Sailing to get registered. Or go the US Sailing website, education, course calendar to find your desired information.
