Bilge Pullers Mary Claire Kiernan/Kelly Monahan Win CISA Regatta

Our young sailors are traveling the across the nation and our most accomplished sailors are in Europe. In the 420 division of the prestigious California clinic, Beulah's Mary Claire Kiernan and Nagawicka's Kelly Monahan handily sailed to a victory with finishes of 1-1-1-3-1. Wow! Connor Corgard/Sarah Hogg also competed in the 420 division. Geneva's Matt Ripkey sailed to a third in the Laser division. Mary Claire (right) and Kelly are pictured above at the ILYA Winter Inland with Dave Perry.

In Hyeres, France Sally Barkow and Steph Roble are competing in Women's Matchracing. The event began on Sunday with Barkow winning her two races. Roble had a 1-2 day but the race win will be re-contested due to RC error. The women will race a full round robin before moving into qualification rounds.

Optis will attend the USODA Team Trials next weekend. Follow USODA for more info.

... or, Daddy, come back to the C

Little Molly Barkow (daughter of Augie and Sue) is a Melges fan already. Seen here at Strictly Sail in February, she is only one of the many, many who look forward to this weekend's start of the season in the Eastern Midwest. Missouri started last weekend. The E's traveled to Charleston at Easter. But it is crunch time now - see you in Springfield this weekend and, yee haw, it's sailing season again.
