MC's
MC's began the day with PRO Mark Prange hoping for three races and, voile, they made it! Wind was steady and the fleet was ecstatic on shore at lunch. Today they plan two more.

Off to a great start - Kelly, Reid and Ellie Hirn in second place race one

Now New Orleans resident Gordon Lamphere jumped in an MC for the first time and now sits in third. -- He did mount an Olympic campaign so perhaps it_s not like the rest of us.
E fleet
The E fleet got in two races with several recalls which made for a long day for that fleet but reports are two great races - challenging due to the shifting wind but sufficient air to make the fleet work.

C Fleet

Two more races yesterday makes this the only fleet on schedule. Afternoon shifting winds caused some mixups in the standings and it is close up top between two great friends. The Haegers - all three- remain in the top ten. Past champion Ed Eckert is still in the hunt. Past champion Paul Reilly sits in the top ten. Get the trend? Loads of past champions still reside in this fleet. 18-75 years of age, they all still sail the C.

A Fleet
What describes this fleet yesterday was beauty, competitive sailing and protests. Five filings and a long, long day for the jurists. Thanks to all the sailors who now comprise the protest council administered by Bruce Martinson. Efficient, careful but tedious work from our six chosen members on Friday night and three others on Thursday night

Lake Geneva Yacht Club
Can you imagine 5-700 of us on your property? Lake Geneva and its crew handled it with grace. The smiles on the faces of Terry Blanchard, Kristin Gannon (co-chairs), Commodore Rod Rieger, Club Manager Michael Moore said it all.

It was a day for re-kindling friendships. The entire Quiram - Tesar - Oltrogge family was together. Eckerts-Schmidts-Rushers encompass 15-20. Just for a little extra fun, Canadian Olympian brought out his WASZP to loads of spectators.

Here are the photos from today-- Kmiecik and Porter/Roble

Families - that's our focus tonight
