Check-in, Registration, Measurement: Wednesday, July 28 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church (W280N2101 Prospect Avenue (HWY SS), Pewaukee, WI 53072 (1/4 mile south of Headquarters)). Registration is not completed until measurement and weight requirements have been checked, and Sailing Instructions have been received and acknowledged.
Launching: Once registration is complete, launching will occur at Headquarters. Trailer parking will be off-site but within walking distance of the PYC.
Practice Race: A combined practice race for any Senior or Junior who wishes to participate will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, July 28. More details will be available at Check-in.
Competitors Briefings: The competitors’ briefings will immediately follow the opening ceremonies, which begin at 6:15 p.m., Wednesday, July 28, at Headquarters. All clubs are asked to have someone represent their club with a burgee that will be flown during the regatta. Race Schedule:
The Warning Signal for the first race, Thursday, July 29, will be at 10:00 a.m. Except when races are sailed back to back, the approximate time of the warning signal for subsequent races will be posted.
If three races are completed, no warning signal will be made after 12:00 Noon on Saturday, July 31, 2010. In any case, no warning signal will be made after 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 31, 2010.
Eight races are scheduled for each fleet. Every effort will be made to complete all scheduled races during the course of the regatta. If six or more races are completed, a throw-out race will be figured in the final scoring.
Eligibility
The Regatta is open to skippers who comply with the requirements prescribed by the ILYA bylaws and are Family, Regular, Youth, or Life members of the ILYA. All skippers in Class X and crew who turn 16 during or after the calendar year 2010 may participate. Only skippers who turn 14 or younger in the calendar year 2010 are eligible to sail in the Junior Fleet. Skippers who turn 15 or 16 during the calendar year 2010 must sail in the Senior Fleet. Crew members may sail in either fleet as long as they are not older than 16 in the calendar year 2010.
Social
Lunches will be available daily at Headquarters starting Thursday, July 29.
Wednesday, July 28: Dinner available starting at 5:30 p.m. with Opening Ceremonies scheduled to start at 6:15 p.m.
Thursday, July 29: Complimentary appetizers following afternoon racing. No scheduled evening activities.
Friday, July 30: “Friday Night Lights” party Including dinner, music, games. Starting at 6 p.m.
All organized activities will be at Headquarters.
Fees
The entry fee is $100 per yacht. Registration payments must be postmarked or otherwise received by July 10 to avoid a $20 late entry fee prescribed by the ILYA bylaw 12.18.30d. Registrations on site are subject to a $30 late penalty.
Lunch and Social tickets, as well as Regatta Wear may be purchased on-line prior to event, at check-in, and in limited quantities throughout the regatta.
Trophies
Perpetual trophies are awarded to the winning skippers of each race. The top 15 skipper and crew in both the Junior and Senior fleets will receive trophies. The top female skippers in each fleet will also receive individual trophies. A final trophy presentation will follow the racing.
Risks
Sailing is an activity that has an inherent risk of damage and injury. Competitors in this event are participating entirely at their own risk. See RRS 4, Decision to Race. The race organizers (organizing authority, race committee, protest committee, host club, sponsors, or any other organization or official) will not be responsible for damage to any boat or other property or the injury to any competitor, including death, sustained as a result of participation in this event. By participating in this event, each competitor, or in the case of minors, each competitor’s parent or guardian, agrees to release the race organizers from any and all liability associated with such competitor’s participation in this event to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Rules
1. Except as any of the following are altered by the Sailing Instructions, the regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing, the prescriptions of the United States Sailing Association, and the Rules and Bylaws of the ILYA, and the ILYA Class X Boat scantlings. 2. Advertising will be restricted to Category A. 3. Boating regulations of the State of Wisconsin will apply.
Courses
The racing area will be on the navigable waters of Pewaukee Lake. The courses to be sailed will be described in the Sailing instructions, available at Check-in. Each fleet will race on a separate course, the location of which will be described at the Competitors' Briefing or by notice on the Official notice Board.

Mooring: The mooring area will be in the Yacht Club bay and other nearby locations. Each boat will need to have a buoy, at least 20’ of anchor line, and an anchor. Taxi service will be provided prior to and immediately following the races. Mooring may also be available for those with private housing. NO overnight pier parking at Headquarters will be permitted.
Dry sailing will be allowed, but dry sailing will not be allowed on the grounds of Pewaukee Yacht Club.
Spectator Fleet: Spectator/tender boats are welcome but may not be launched at Headquarters. Launching of spectator/tender boats may be via public launch sites around lake or via Sports Dock Bar and Grill (within easy walking distance to Headquarters). Gas will be for sale at the Club. Please note that no storage of power boats will be allowed at headquarters at any time.
In addition, every effort will be made to provide ample spectator boats for those wishing to get out on the water to watch the action.
The ILYA measurer will be present to assist with compliance issues. All boats built prior to model year 2007 are required to have transom drain holes by July 28, 2010 per class bylaws. The scale will be available for those desiring to be weighed, and to assist with double deck trailers. This year, as in the past, we will be requiring boats to be weighed only if the weight sticker is missing or the weight’s seals are not intact. Competitors with their stickers and seals intact will not have to be weighed but may do so optionally if they wish. Boats will also be required to have names and proper deck letters as outlined in the rules, and will be checked for this as well.

Registration
Eligible boats may enter by three means:
1) Registering on the ILYA website (www.ilya.org). To register for the regatta click HERE.
2) Completing an official ILYA Regatta Entry Application and sending it, together with the required fee, to the ILYA at PO Box 311, Fontana, WI 53125.
3) Faxing to ILYA at 262-203-7722.
All entries must be postmarked or otherwise received by July 10 to avoid late penalties per ILYA By-law 12.18.3.d. Fax and Internet registrations require MasterCard or VISA credit card information.
