| ILYA YOUTH CHAMPS |
|
 Jamie Randall and Mike Schmid are the newest ILYA Champs. Randall took the 420 title and Schmid the Laser trophy. The event, held at UW-Madison Hoofers saw a mix of college and high school sailors. Rob Pickens, last year's champ, was second followed by high schooler Chris Banholzer. Brandon Wilson was fourth and Mitchell Lee fifth in the 420 division.
Mike Schmidt took the Laser division with a 1-2-2-1-1. Thanks to the Hoofers for continuing to support this event.

 Dave Perry is coming to the GLSS. Enjoy an evening with world renowned sailor and coach, Dave Perry. Tickets are $25. Includes dinner and Dave's entertaining review of racing rules, leadership and teambuilding tips plus the invariably engaging anecdotes of a world class racer.
Special Opportunity: Watch the A-boat race aboard Gage's beautiful Matriarch yacht. Tickets are $50. Includes wine and beer aboard the Matriarch as well as dinner at LGYC and Dave's presentation. Limited to 35 people. First come, first served. Those lucky individuals will board the Matriarch on the LGYC pier at 5pm

| GENEVA SAILORS TAKE JUNIOR AND SENIOR TRAP |

| Davis Porter and the "H-Bomb" Henry Rolander took the senior title at TRAP. Following close behind were Joe Rolander and RJ Porter. Brothers all the way around. Then . . . third brother Griffin Rolander with Mac Six won the Jr. title. Geneva continued the rout with Charlie Morris and Leslie Poole in fifth in the senior fleet. New sailors Colin Rowe with Nathan Freytag and Mitchell Lee with Conner Cain were 11th and 12th in the junior fleet. Geneva sent a strong contingent to the event. It's great to see our Opti sailors, past champs and great family names on the roster.
Pewaukee had a strong showing with brothers again --- A Feichtmeier here, a Feichtmeier there, boy Feichtmeiers, girl Feichtmeier and they were a family with a trio also. Jo-momma Joey Feichtmeier was second in the juniors and Pajamas PJ Feichtmeier took fourth in the seniors. Sister Claire sailed her first X event. The Clemence family brought three also.
The family of trios continues on Beulah. Belly up to the Barr with three sons in the junior fleet. Michael Barr took 3rd, brother Cullen sailed with brother John to a 7th. And then the three Sullivans: Andrea, David and Scotty. Beulah is fortunate to have three Komas chidlren seving as crew.
Cedar's three Ruscher's sailed well with Allie and Kathryn in the top fifteen. Okauchee's Sazama famiy round out the trios.

Click here to see how the "older" crowd fared this weekend in Oshkosh. John Porter and crew edged out Rob Evans to win the A Scow Nationals. Andy Burdick was third, Tom Freytag fourth and Chuck Lamphere fifth.

| ILYA SAILORS TRAVEL TO US SAILING YOUTH CHAMPS |

 Beulah sailors lead 420 and Radial fleets
Anne Haeger and Steph Hudson top the leader board as of Sunday night but results have not been posted since Sunday at noon. This is the premier youth regatta in the nation with participation by invite only. Colin Smith is in 6th in the full rig division. Also competing are Will Haeger and George Kutschenreuter. The U.S. Senate passed S. Res. 199, introduced by Senators Herb Kohl (D-Wisc.) and Richard Burr (R-N.C.), declaring July 1, 2009 National Boating Day. The resolution recognizes the important role recreational boating and the boating industry play in the lives of the nation's 70 million boaters and the U.S. economy. -- Full report:

| X BLUE CHIP DATES ANNOUNCED |

With five weekends in August, Cedar Lake has notified Scowlines of the official dates of August 7-8 for the X Blue Chip.

| OTHER RESULTS |
|
Laser North Americans results show Gordon Lamphere in 19th and Erik Bowers in 22nd. Susi Pegal was fifth in the silver fleet. This is quite impressive when you calculate the Americans only. These two youth are climbing the American ladder. Be sure to scroll down to the bottom of the page for the final results.
The Quint X regatta held June 13-14 was won by North Lake's Blake Kenney. Check the ILYA website for full results later this week.
