ILYA Member Support
Don't forget that your 2012 donation to the ILYA of $100 or more registers you as an ILYA Member Supporter in one of three levels-Silver ($100 or more), Gold ($500 or more), Platinum ($1,000 or more). Member supporters receive a sticker indicating their support level. We've seen them in the car windows, and on the boat transoms! Consider a gift to the ILYA. There are three areas for giving-General Operations, (youth) Promotion, and General Foundation. All three are described in the online donation page at http://ilya.org/donations/support.html.
ILYA Sanctioned Regatta Notices, Entry Executive Secretary Smith tells us that the Regatta Notice issue of Scow Slants is in the mail, and includes all of the 2012 ILYA Sanctioned Regatta Notices of Race. All of the NORs are also on line at http://ilya.org/2012-ilya-sanctioned-events-with-notice-of-race.html and the online entry program is open for business. TRAP - Senior Allie Rusher.Abby Rusher; Junior Behrend leading
sent by Margaret Hollister
In the Senior Fleet, Alie Rusher sailed an amazing regatta, with the exception of the 23rd she was happy to throw out...a total of 11 after 6 races with a toss. Pretty good!
HUGE wind today...junior's earned their stripes! Jack Behrend from Nag seems unaffected by it! Sailing a strong 3 race series today with 2 bullets and a 2nd. He has great competition from a few others setting up a great day 2 for the youngest of the X Fleet. Also...great to see the next generation of the Melges family in the X Fleet! Harry Melges, IV skipping I-1 with his cousin Hans crewing for him! Great fun!
As always, the hit of the day was lunch served up by Qdoba! What can I say. They love the stuff!

| 2012 MC Masters Regatta |
|
Register by July 4th
by Rick Trester
This is your last chance to preregister for the MC Masters regatta at Cedar Lake Wisconsin on July 11th through the 14th. The preregistration deadline is July 4th and you will not receive a polo shirt if you delay. The shirts are not available at the regatta site. In addition the entry fee goes from $170 to $180 after this date.
Our goal is 50 boats and we are only four away. You know that you are coming to this event that includes three days of racing and socializing, two great parties and a chance to tell Dan Fink and Stu Oltrogge that they are old like the rest of us! Even Wally (Salty) Schwarting is coming.
You will also have the opportunity to win a brand new North Z-max sail in our raffle. How many regattas do you go to where you can come home with a brand new sail?
Remember register by July 4th or you don't get a shirt!
