| Calhoun 420 Clinic Cancelled |
|
|
Mike Woldum has announced low registrations have resulted in the cancellation of the northern 420 clinic. Those of you not in that fleet may question our efforts since both clinics have now been cancelled BUT our sailors are so adept now, they are participating in the higher level clinics. The Neil clinic in Chicago features 24 teams of sailors selected by resume 10 of whom have been ILYA youth members. We have Malcolm Lamphere out east preparing in the Newport clinic before traveling as a US representative to Australia along with Mitchell Kiss. The Ida Lewis event in two weeks will feature our young women.
What's next? To stimulate growth in he southern region, many of our smaller regattas will be adding 420s along with the Optis. First up is the Beulah Opti regatta. NOR here.

Dear C boaters,
Just a reminder to bring your anchor, buoy and anchor line to this week's C Nationals regatta on Delavan Lake. With the number of boats that have pre-registered, all boats will be moored in the protected bay next to the Delavan Lake Yacht Club. Delavan just wrapped-up hosting a beautiful & big-wind MIR regatta and is ready to do it all over again at this weekend's Nationals.

The next issue of Optinews magazine contains the attached article that introduces our new Club Level Membership Initiative. USODA requests your support in distributing the attached copy of the one page New Skipper Club Program form and the article to all your member organizations.
