Light winds continue on Clear - More wind predicted tomorrow! Two races today  

Willy Crary Takes Two Today

What a regatta for the Minnesota clan! W-3 (Willy Crary with Susie Voltz) took the gun handily in both races in the senior fleet and look on the junior side scorecard and you'll see it's Vikings all the way! Race one today held steady, though light. Race two saw sailors in both fleets take the secondary time limit score as the lake became flat. It's a deceptive lake with wind appearing to arise near shore but once out on the lake, it's a beautiful, sparkly illusion. Two talented youndg ladies follow Crary. Nagawicka's Kelly Monahan led for most of race two until the lake became flat. Allie Rusher from Cedar is is showing consistent, persistent work.

 Sincerest apologies to the junior fleet for the lack of photos. Pat Dunsworth has been briefly hospitalized so  Todd Jerrod will be on the water as our photographer tomorrow. Johnny Ferguson, Kate Cox and Jack Bitney are not out of the top five and, look at Oshkosh's Korbin Kierstead! Charlie Kutschenreuter found his form to take the last race of the day.

It's an early start in the morning to get as many races as we can before the mandatory end time. The sailors are hoping for wind to show what they can do in heavier air now that we have three light air races in. A throwout goes into effect with six so wish us good winds Saturday.  
It's all about VOLLEYBALL!

 Beulah/Geneva Face Off 

Sets, spikes, kills that show sailing school is not only about sailing. These kids have PRACTICED! Overheard -"These kids sure play better than we did!" A mom countered, "This kids SAIL better than we did!".  It took two games but Beulah was the victor in a repeat performance.

ILYA Youth Champs at Calhoun

Please come and join us for the ILYA Youth 420 Championships at Calhoun Yacht Club in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Last year we had the biggest fleet yet and hope to push it past the 50 boat mark this year.

We have housing and boats available for charter so hurry and sign up. If you need to charter a 420 please contact Mike Woldum.

We will be down in Clear Lake, IA on Friday for the X Inland to answer questions and get people registered. Entry deadline is August 1st
