Registration, Check-in, Launch: 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 8, and 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. on Friday, July 9. Sailing instructions will be provided at these times.
Competitors' Briefing: 8:30 a.m. Friday, July 9 at Headquarters.
Race Schedule: Six races are scheduled. The first race is scheduled for a 10:00 a.m. warning signal on Friday, July 9. Except when races are sailed back to back, the approximate time of the warning signal for subsequent races will be posted. No race shall start after noon on Sunday, July 11, if two races have been completed. In any case, no race shall start after 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 11.
Eligibility
The Regatta is open to Class MC Scows helmed by skippers who comply with the requirements prescribed by the ILYA bylaws and are Family, Regular, Youth, or Life members of the ILYA. Trophy age requirements must be met before the first scheduled race. Crew become members of the Association by virtue of their yacht’s completed registration. Social
Free beer and water will be available throughout the regatta.
Lunches will be available all three days of the regatta. Lunch costs will be $8.00 per person per day.
A complimentary continental breakfast will be available on race mornings beginning at 7:00 a.m. Friday evening we will be hosting a tenderloin dinner for all of the sailors at Echo Point. There will be an open bar before dinner. The cost for this dinner and bar will be $22.00 per person.
Saturday we will have munchies available after the race with free beer. We will recommend a resturant for Saturday night if desired.
Fees
The entry fee is $80.00 per boat. Entries should be submitted on-line or on an official ILYA Regatta Entry form and postmarked or otherwise received by June 25, 2010. Entries postmarked or otherwise received after June 25 will incur late fees as specified in ILYA By-law 12.18.3 ($20). The Regatta Entry form, which includes the Waiver of Liability and other pertinent information, may be found on-line or in Scow Slants.
Entry is free for skippers sailing their first ILYA Adult Class Regatta, and who contact the ILYA office and register prior to or on the early registration deadline (June 25).
A 50% youth-aged skipper discount is available to qualifying skippers who register prior to or on the early registration deadline (June 25).
Registration fee incentives do not apply to on-site registrations.
Trophies
Trophies will be awarded to the top five skippers in the regatta as well as the top two masters, top grandmaster and top junior.
Risks
Sailing is an activity that has an inherent risk of damage and injury. Competitors in this event are participating entirely at their own risk. See RRS 4, Decision to Race. The race organizers (organizing authority, race committee, protest committee, host club, sponsors, or any other organization or official) will not be responsible for damage to any boat or other property or the injury to any competitor, including death, sustained as a result of participation in this event. By participating in this event, each competitor, or in the case of minors, each competitor’s parent or guardian, agrees to release the race organizers from any and all liability associated with such competitor’s participation in this event to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Rules:
Except as any of the following are altered by the Sailing Instructions, the regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing, the prescriptions of US SAILING, the Rules and Bylaws of the ILYA, and the scantling rules of the MCSA.
Pursuant to ILYA Bylaw 12.22, measurement and weighing will not be conducted, but each entry is bound by MCSA scantlings.
Notification of OCS (on course side) starters and other communication will be done first by VHF radio and second by hailer.
In accordance with ISAF Regulation 20, this regatta is classified as an “invitational” Category A event. ADVERTISING will be restricted to Category A.
BOATING REGULATIONS of the State of Wisconsin will apply.
Scoring: Two races are required to be completed to constitute a regatta. If six or more races are completed, each boat shall discard her worst score, except when prohibited under RRS 88.3(b).
Courses
The courses to be sailed will be described in the Sailing Instructions. The racing area will be on the navigable waters of Cedar Lake.
Housing
Limited housing will be available for sailors that need it.

Miscellaneous
Launching and Mooring: This regatta will be dry sailed for all competitors. You can bring an anchor with 10ft. of anchor line if desired.
Alcoholic Beverages: Local regulations prohibit carrying alcoholic beverages onto the grounds of Cedar Lake Yacht Club. Ample libations will be available from the bar.
Spectator boats will be available.
We will have a limited list of available crews for this event.

Eligible boats may enter by three means:
1) Registering on the ILYA website (www.ilya.org). To register for the regatta click HERE.
2) Completing an official ILYA Regatta Entry Application and sending it, together with the required fee, to the ILYA at PO Box 311, Fontana, WI 53125.
3) Faxing to ILYA at 262-203-7722.
All entries must be postmarked or otherwise received by June 25 to avoid late penalties per ILYA By-law 12.18.3.d. Fax and Internet registrations require MasterCard or VISA credit card information.
