What a Midwest contingent and some top contenders are competing in Miami now. Check out the Club 420 results to find Will Haeger hanging in the top three. Andrew Fox of University of Wisconsin is leading the Laser full rigs. Malcolm Lamphere is holding strong at 5-6 day to day. The complete scores can be found at the Coral Reef site.

The Great Lakes Small Boat Sailing Museum, and her sister museum, the National Museum of One Design Sailboats recently acquired the last wooden class A racing scow to come out of Wisconsin, named Dixie. Dixie is well known in A-Scow circles as the boat that was raced in a Chicago Mackinac race and, despite navigational equipment failures which led her crew to believe that Muskegon was the finish line in Mackinac City, she still finished third overall. She also won numerous trophies the year she was built, 1966.
Our plan is to complete restoration of her and take her on the road to malls, wooden boat shows, and museums to share the glory of these great wooden scows, and to promote scow racing and sailing. We are seeking donations of any amount to help us with this great endeavor, which parallels the mission of the Inland Lake Yachting Association.
Please send whatever you can to me, Dr. James McCluskey, in care of the Great Lakes Small Boat Sailing Museum, 215 North Monroe, Xenia, Ohio 45385.
We also have a Michigan location near Big Rapids, and we are registered with both the Ohio and Michigan chapters of the Make-A-Wish Foundation to give terminally ill children a free ride on a sailboat. We have over 70 exhibits of classic one design boats including a 1920 C scow named Windjammer and raced on Pewaukee Lake and a fiberglass class E Scow, and a wooden experimental 32 foot scow designed for women racers.
