ANDY BURDICK/TERRY BLANCHARD NAMED NATIONAL A CHAMP |
|
Andy Burdick turned 40 and began a new decade with a National
Championship. With boat owner Terry Blanchard, George Beukema, Peter
Keck, Ben Porter, and Coye Harrett the I-28 won over Buddy Melges and
three strong, strong Minnetonka boats. Magnificent photos of Crystal
Lake, fun photos of parties and birthday mischief are featured on the National A website. |

| WHO'S THE YOUNGEST LIFE MEMBER? |
| | AUCTION BRINGS IN TWO NEW MEMBERS
The
ILYA no longer offers life membeships but a rare opportunity was
available at the Barkow-Ruf Olympic fundraiser. Two memberships were
auctioned off in voice auction. After the event, Dick Barkow and John
Just are in a face off. Who will receive the two once-in-a-lifetime
memberships? For over $2000 each Barkow and Just now need to determine
who will be the last or youngest ILYA member. Think of all the folks
who are lifetime members now. The ages of current members are, say, 40,
50 or upwards. Grandchild Barkow or Taylor Just will be standing
alone. Barkow has yet to declare his intent so, congratulations, Taylor
Just -- you are the youngest lifetime member of the Inland Lake
Yachting Association.
