The NLYC is located on the east shore of Nagawicka Lake about one mile north of I-94 on Hwy 83 in Delafield. Take Hwy 83 north approximately one mile to Mariner Drive (Mariner Drive boards the north side of Nagawaukee Park). Take Mariner Drive approximately one mile to lake and the NLYC clubhouse.
Schedule
Registration, Check-in, and Launching will be from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Thursday, July 10th, and from 7:30 a.m. – 8:45 a.m. on Friday July 11th. Sailing Instructions will be provided at this time.
The Competitors’ Briefing will be held at 9:00 a.m. Friday, July 11th at the NLYC clubhouse.
Racing Schedule: Six races are scheduled for this event. The first race is scheduled for a 10:00 a.m. warning signal on Friday. Except when races are sailed back-to-back, warning times for subsequent races will be at the discretion of the Principal Race Officer Russ Ackley. If two races have been completed, no race shall start after noon on Sunday, July 13th. In any case, no race shall start after 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 13th.
Eligibility
The regatta is open to all Class MC Scows whose skippers comply with the requirements as set out in the ILYA bylaws and are Family, Regular, Youth, or Life members of the ILYA. Crew members become members of the Association by virtue of the yacht’s completed registration. ILYA Member Club requirements apply. See ILYA By-laws 12.22 and 12.23. Trophy age requirements must be met before the first scheduled race. Social
A continental breakfast and lunch will be available each race day. Friday after racing, a complimentary keg will be tapped along with free appetizers. A regatta dinner is planned for Saturday night with a live local band - Crazy Man’s Basement. Check them out at http://www.cmbband.com. This ticket will not disappoint! Tickets for all meals (except Friday evening) must be purchased at registration to permit proper planning for food and beverages. A shuttle will always be available after each night’s event!
Fees
The early entry fee is $75.00 per boat. Late fee is $20.
The entry is free for skippers sailing their
first ILYA Adult Class Regatta, and who contact the ILYA office and
register prior to or on the early registration deadline.
Trophies
Trophies will be awarded to the top ten skippers in the regatta as well as the race winners and top grand master, top master, top junior and top female sailor following completion of haul out on Sunday.
Risks
Sailing is an activity that has an inherent risk of damage and injury. Competitors in this event are participating entirely at their own risk. See RRS 4, Decision to Race. The race organizers (organizing authority, race committee, protest committee, host club, sponsors, or any other organization or official) will not be responsible for damage to any boat or other property or the injury to any competitor, including death, sustained as a result of participation in this event. By participating in this event, each competitor, or in the case of minors, each competitor’s parent or guardian, agrees to release the race organizers from any and all liability associated with such competitor’s participation in this event to the fullest extent permitted by law
Rules
1. Except as any of the following are altered by the Sailing Instructions, the regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing, the prescriptions of US SAILING, the Rules and Bylaws of the ILYA, and the scantling rules of the MCSA. Sailing Instructions will be available during the registration periods.
2. Notification of OCS (on course side) starters and other communication will be done first by VHF radio and second by hailer.
3. ADVERTISING will be restricted to Category A.
4. BOATING REGULATIONS of the State of Wisconsin will apply.
Courses
Racing will be held on the navigable waters of the Nagawicka Lake on courses described in the Sailing Instructions.

Miscellaneous
Launching: Boats can be launched at the NLYC clubhouse or at the Nagawaukee Park ramp adjacent to the NLYC grounds. Sailors using the “park ramp” are subject to the park launching fee. Directions for off-site trailer parking will be given at registration. Mooring: Each yacht is required to provide an anchor and sufficient line for 20 foot depth of hard bottom. While dry sailing is permitted, and some sailing space is available at the NLYC, it is limited. Taxi boat service will be provided for sailors who moor their boats. Spectator Boats: NLYC will provide spectator boats for those wishing to watch the races from the water. Please sign-up at registration if you would like to join a spectator boat. Competitors wishing to bring their own are free to launch from the NLYC ramp as long as there is no interference with the racing fleet. Please keep in mind that pier space is limited.
